Poupy
Personal financial assistant accessed via WhatsApp. Users send natural language messages — "I spent 50 reais at the grocery store" — and the system automatically categorizes, records, and analyzes expenses. The project ran for about 2 years, with over 6k users, R$8 million in recorded expenses, 60k+ categories created, and 89k+ messages sent.
v1 — The first version used an intent system based on manual prompt engineering. Each message type was represented by a PHP class with an action name, semantic description, and a structured prompt with a field schema, Portuguese examples, and ambiguity-handling rules. The OpenAI model returned structured JSON for the backend to validate and execute.
v2 — Migrated to the OpenAI Assistants API with an event-driven architecture: async jobs with run polling, tool call execution, multi-provider orchestration (OpenAI and DeepSeek), per-message cost tracking, and abstraction via contracts (AIOrchestrator).
Integrations: Stripe, WhatsApp Cloud API, Kommo CRM, Google Analytics 4, and Meta Conversions API.
